Additional WiFi Router

I have a gateway WiFi in my house that provides great WiFi, but just recently built a detached garage that the WiFi does not reach to. It needs a good WiFi connection for security cameras therefore, was wondering if adding an additional router in the garage would be beneficial for a better connection rather than an extender? Can I have two gateways on one plan?

Hello user_nlduic, thank you for reaching out here in our Xfinity Community forum. We're happy you're here, and happy to help. Our current plans do not allow multiple modems/routers. However, you can use Xfi pods, or other brand wifi extenders. My office is a detached shed, and I have my modem out here, and in my house, I have Xfi pods which allow the signal to reach the house and support signal, even upstairs.
