Need to add channels to my Wi-Fi network at home. And specify some as 2.4ghz vs 5. How and where to do this? Steps? Thx

If you are using a Comcast-rented gateway device, see if the links below are what you are looking for;

Greetings, @user_rxny58! Thanks for reaching out about the modem channels. Did the steps that our awesome Expert @EG provide resolve your concerns?

My networks are combined, but I use smart home equipment that need to be on the 2.4 GHz network only. I use these steps to connect them.

  1. On a device connected to your Gateway, open a browser and go to http://10.0.0.1.
  2. Log in to the Admin Tool.
  3. Select Connection, then Wi-Fi.
  4. Click Edit next to 5 GHz.
  5. Select Disable and click Save Settings.
  6. Connect your smart device using its app.
  7. Go back and re-enable the 5 GHz band.
