Adding an access point to my xF1 wireless network

I have an xF1 router and with wifi. I'd like to add an access point to the network to extend the range and improve wifi performance in our home. I'd like the xF1 and access router to act as one so users move seamlessly from one device to the other as they move through our home. What are the settings and process to setup the system. I have Ubiqiti lite access point. Thanks, [edited to remove PII]

Good morning, @user_dc49ff, and thank you for reaching out through our Community Forums platform for assistance with your internet system! We offer our xFI Pods that create a seamless mesh network experience for our internet customers with our xFI Gateways, including the Xb7. I know there are companies who make mesh network solutions that are compatible with any service provider. For 3rd party devices, you would want to check with the manufacturer for compatibility and how to set up the system, as we're unable to provide support for them.
You don't have to use our Pods but they are awesome because they are very easy to install using the Xfinity app, work wirelessly anywhere in  your home, and create a seamless experience for all of your wireless devices. I have our XFi Pods, and absolutely love them! We had dead spots downstairs in our basement and upstairs in our rooms, and the Pods fixed the issue entirely, so we can all stay connected from anywhere. You can learn more about our xFI Pods at

https://comca.st/3vvVRs9, including pricing and how to order them online if you should choose this option over your Ubiqiti Lite.

@XfinityMacey Hi there, I am looking to do the same thing as I have tried to use xFi pod, but in the one room I have no wifi in I can not get the xFi pod to connect, when I connect the xFi pod to the nearest plug outside the room (which I agree it connect so easily) I still do not get wifi in that room.   I think it has to do with the brick construction of the home and the location of this particular room, so my only option I believe is to install a WAP, but I want it seemless with my X1 modem/router, same network etc.   I have learned that the xFi pods can not be used as WAP (tried that) and that you do not make your own WAPs?     Wondering if you can help me on this?
