Adding a second router
I want to have a second location to run a Ethernet cable for a stronger connection. I have to have Ethernet in my office, which is where the modem resides. But I want to have the ability to plug my high end TV into Ethernet as well to optimize performance. Any suggestions?

If there is / are coax cable / coax outlets in both the office and the room where the TV is then MoCA adapters may be a solution for you. MoCA essentially is ethernet over coax. Google "MoCA adapters" for more info.

@user5489 Thank you so much for your post on options on how to hook up your TV to a hardwired connection. You can definitely use a router to connect your TV directly however the Router would need to be connected directly to the modem using a hardwired connection. With that, you would have a cord from the modem to the router and then one from the router to the TV. As long as you are using a good quality ethernet cable you could have a great connection. If needed in some cases we are able to activate/install a new coax outlet to relocate the modem into a different room if you do not already have one active/installed in the room with the TV you would like to connect. With that, if we are able to activate/install a new outlet there would be a small fee. If you would like to look into that option I would be happy to help! If you could send our team a private message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
