Adding a Fiber optic modem

I have fiber coming to a pedestal at my house, ONT>coaxial now.

Can this be upgraded to an optical cable bringing service into the house and adding a fiber modem? The coaxial is very old and since I will replace it, would there be a benefit to changing? Currently at 600mbps service level.

That black cable coming out of the ground looks like a coax hardline feeder cable feeding a coax #14 tap.

Ok. It was such a big cable so it thought it was glass

Hello @user_d0a356, I appreciate you reaching out to us regarding optical fiber lines. Typically, we do not install optical fiber lines unless it's part of a wider area upgrade. However, if there is an issue with your service we definitely want to make sure the lines are in good shape. How is your service working for you?
