Activating Wifi Gateway Without Xfinity App

I just got an Xfinity gateway, and I want to activate it. The only way to activate it that I could find is using the Xfinity mobile app, which I can't download since my phone doesn't support ios 17. Is there any other way I can activate my wifi?

As a workaround, you can try using an Android VM (Virtual Machine / emulator) app on your PC, like the MuMu player. Download the Xfinity app to it and do it from there;

@EG I installed mumuplayer, and I was able to download the Xfinity app. However, I can't sign into my Xfinity account on mumuplayer (any time I try entering my Xfinity ID, it just sends me back to the sign in page as if I didn't enter anything). Do you know if this might be an issue with mumuplayer specifically?

user_gapd0o Thank you for creating the post for us for help with activating your new modem. I see that @EG was able to offer an excellent work around since you are not able to install the Xfinity app. I'm sorry that the app is not available on the older ios's. While @EG offered a great option, our team here can help out with activation as well, so you came to the right place. The best way to test if the login looping is an issue with the player or the account is to visit xfinity.com and sign in from there. If you are able to sign in without an issue I would suspect the player as the source, but if the issue continues directly on our site there may be an issue with the credentials that we can help with as well.

Please send us a direct message with your name and service address. We will make sure that your modem is activated and that you are able to fully access your account.
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
