I've been working with you app and phone for 1.5 hours now trying to activate my new third party modem with NO LUCK what so ever

My issue was solely with getting registered with xfinity. They may as well not have any help on phone or chat because it's useless. Once I finally discovered how to register with xfinity (after hours and hours if research) it worked fine.
I am having the same issue.
I had a similar problem and had to contact the manufacturer of the modem to finish the set up. I first had to register my modem with xfinity and then contact the manufacturer of the modem.
