A Plea For Help - Constant disconnects/disruptions - 72001011-DHCPv6 - Missing Required Option 24 and others

Hi All,

I have struggled with Xfinity Customer Service countless times in the past three weeks to try and get this resolved. My event log is full of errors with these two repeating nonsmargin: 0;">

DHCPv6[7617]: 72001011-DHCPv6 - Missing Required Option 82 2025/12/4 19:37:19 Critical
DHCPv6[7617]: 72001011-DHCPv6 - Missing Required Option 82 2025/12/4 19:13:49 Critical

I have nonstop disconnects and it's becoming an issue with my workload. Currently using an Xfinity modem, endless resets and provisioning. Can't get them to send a tech out. I'm desperate!

Best,

M

Where are you pulling these error logs from?

Is it your internal devices losing connection or are you losing internet access?

You can pull system and event logs by logging in as admin through 10.0.0.1. Xfinity has confirmed that it’s an ISP issue already.

Hello @user_aac114. Thank you for reaching out on our community forum. I would love to take a deep dive into your account and figure out what is going on with your constant disconnects.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and address so that we can assist you further.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
