3rd Generation White TG02DCW4482CT router injects digital noise in audio streams on my computer

We recently installed the 3rd generation white Xfinity gateway for higher internet speeds but while the internet performance is as expected the unit is definitely injecting a repeating high pitched pulsing or clicking noise into audio streams on the computer.  The computer has an audio interface connected that connects to two studio monitor type speakers.  I've found if I touch the router with my hands the sound is greatly attenuated.  I tested using a commercial grade power conditioner and that seemed to help but not completely eliminate it altogether.  Our previous two gateways did not do this so I'm wondering if any other users have experienced this issue and how you were able to correct it, if any.

Sometimes this can be ground loop hum/interference

I have the following

Ebtech Hum X AC Plug Ground eliminator

which has fixed similar problems

you plug the router alone into it
