31 of 32 Downstream Bonded Channels

A little over a week ago I upgraded my 600Mbps Comcast plan to 1Gbps and replace my Netgear CM600 modem with a Netgear CM2050V. Mostly, I wanted to get higher upload speeds, within the realm of Comcast plans, but also to replace their voice modem.

While I am not getting the most out of the 1Gbps download speed, highest around 616Mbps, the  upload speed appears as expected, highest around 42Mbps for thier specified 35Mbps. I spent several hours with them on the phone early on trying to determine if there was an issue for the download speed especially since I have multiple machines capable of doing over 1Gbps speeds, CAT6 wiring, etc. Typical experience as you would expect.

However, I found that only 31 of my 32 downstream channels were bonded.

Has anyone seen this or know if this is an actual issue? Comcast eventually pointed me to Netgear and was saying this was not an issue.

Below is my full connection status for this expecially for those that want to see the full connection for comparisons.  For this particular question, you will see the downstream only has 31 channels bonded and the last not locked and not configured.

Thanks

I have a very similar situation.  Upload good (5 or 6 channels), but download is only around 3-400 Mbps (out of 1200 Mbps purchases), with the same channel 32 not locked.  Cable connection listed as “good”. Downstream light blinking.

did you ever get resolution to your issue?
