Hi there, @user_2decfc. Yikes, I'm on Home Depot daydreaming about patio furniture a lot. I'd be really sad if I wasn't able to access the site!

Your concern sounds a bit like this forum post; do you get a reference number or any other information with the "Access Denied" message?

"Access Denied / You don't have permission" messages are issued by the destination site, not by Comcast. It's likely the site is blocking your public Comcast IP. You can look up your IP at https://www.google.com/search?q=my+IP You'll probably need to ask the sites' admins for help with this.

@BruceW right, when off my Comcast network, everything works. so its not my local IP is the Comcast IP/Gateway.  Same with my mobile devices.  If I am on my Comcast Network, I get access denied. if I turn off Wifi, I am able to access the same site.

So it's not my device(s).

I would run a malware scan on ALL of your devices. What you're seeing is Akamai's firewall blocking your Xfinity IP. That usually only happens if you have botnet or other malicious activity happening on a device that is likely impacting a site that goes through them.

EDIT: Found a useful link that details how this could have happened: https://community.akamai.com/customers/s/article/Why-is-Akamai-blocking-me?language=en_US

@confuzzeled this is an Akamai error code. Read the link I shared in my post for more information.

@user_2decfc Something on your network is 100% causing this issue. Akamai doesn't just block IP addresses for no reason. This is not a Comcast issue.

I have the same issue after installing new modem.

Comcast is giving out blacklisted ip addresses.

Only way around it is to get a new modem so they will assign you a new ip address or use a vpn

@user_d7ce61 They get unblocked after a short bit unless there is a repeat issue triggering their security. Use the reputation check tool on Akamai. You can also reach out to Akamai to have them delist your IP address.
