2.4Ghz network will not connect

I have split my networks successfully. However, my 5Ghz network is too week to connect my devices upstairs. My Xfinity router is down stairs only 10-15 feet away through the floor\ceiling. And, the 2.4Hhz network will not connect at all. When I click on the 2.4Ghz network, it shows "connecting" for, literally, a split second, then goes back to just an available network. If it rapidly tap on it to connect, it will say scanning long enough for me to access the settings, which does me no good anyway. The 2.4Ghz network shows a very strong signal where my 5Ghz network is so week that it "can't provide Internet". But, it will at least connect.

Hey there, @Greenwolff! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums! That certainly is not the experience we want for our customers at all, we want to ensure the connection is stable and able to connect at all. There are many factors that can create the signal to weaken when traveling throughout the home such as what your home is made of, how many other devices may interfere with the signal, and the distance between the modem/device.

I know you mentioned attempting to split the bands, have you attempted to not have the bands split and allowing the modem to connect to the strongest connection automatically? Have you completed any troubleshooting steps? There are some great steps that can be found here for the troubleshooting. Please let us know.
