2.4/5mhz

I have installed a bluetooth wall switch to control my lights in my kitchen, but my Smart Life App on my iPhone will not pair with it. (we have many other items connected to Smart Life) The instructions with the switch says it will only work with 2.4 mhz but my router is running both 2.4 and 5 and after troubleshooting, I believe that is why it is not working. Is there a way to disable the 5 so that I can complete the set up of this switch? :).
