@user_je5vtx Hi there, if you need specifically a 2.4 GHz signal and use our modem you'll have to separate your wifi bands. This link will help you do so, hope this helps!

@user_wq5hvp Thanks for reaching out to us here! You can find instructions for separating your Wi-Fi into 2.4 and 5ghz signal here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-channel-xfinity-xfi. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process.

If splitting SSIDs doesn't work (like if you have xFi Pods) or you don't want to another option is to just get a WiFi range extender.  A lot of them can be configured to use the 5GHz to connect to the router and 2.4GHz to talk to clients.  Many can also be wired.  You can also use a cheap/old router in access point mode/DHCP disabled as long as it's fast enough for your 2.4GHz devices.  Just wire it using a LAN port (leave the WAN port disconnected) and turn off the 5GHz.  Again, please check the specs because there are WiFi routers out there that won't let you turn off the DHCP server.  The WiFi router option is more for something you have collecting dust in your closet or got cheap on Craigslist.  If you're buying something get a range extender.  They're cheap compared to the other options and they'll do the job.  Just don't buy a Pod for this.  xFi Pods force you to keep 5GHz and 2.4GHz on the same SSID.
