2.4 Ghz Troubles
Our 2.4Ghz wireless goes out frequently, as in once a week. I have 2 SSIDs configured, one with 5Ghz and one 2.4Ghz. They both used to be named the same thing but when my 2.4Ghz went out and renamed them so I would know as a lot of my connected equipment used only 2.4Ghz.
You can still contect to the 2.4Ghz wireless but it does not have internet connectivity. I reboot the router/modem and it goes back to working. When it goes down, the 5Ghz stays up and working fine.
Any ideas what to do to troubleshoot?

Here are some test ideas that may help or be inconclusive: 1. From the client devices, after internet connectivity fails occurs, you can test the connection from devices to gateway regardless of internet connectivity like this: "ping 192.168.0.1 -s 900", but substituting your gateway's base-IP address in case 192.168.0.1 is not correct for yours. 2. Via the gateway admin/setup menus, lock the 2.4Ghz receive and transmit power levels to minimum level and test for a while. 3. Lock the 2.4Ghz and transmit power levels to the maximum, retest. 4. Lock the 2.4Ghz channel to be certain number instead of letting it select whatever channel number, retest it for a bunch of channels, max power levels. 99.99% of failures are caused by software not hardware. However if increasing power level tends to makes the problem happen more quickly after a reboot, that is consistent with a hardware failure being root-cause.
