2 gateways won’t work

I just got a gateway for my new apartment that wouldn’t work, just showed a flashing yellow light. I exchanged it and got a different gateway, same issue, just a flashing yellow light after I get it all plugged in. The technician won’t come out until Saturday, is there even a point though? Or should I just contact my apartment about the cables?

It sounds like the outlet you are using doesn't have a signal yet and one of our awesome technicians is needed to get you up and running.  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
