2 Different modems same problem.

Had a technician out to the house today for the issue that keeps occur many times a day, the internet freezes and then 30sec later the modem reboots. Sometimes comes right back on and works. Other times it reboots over and over and over ect.... for hours then finally comes back online. Right now it works for aprox 1 hour then goes down for 5-10min then works for an hour, rinse and repeat. So the technician checked all the signals outside and at the modem and of course everything tested good. So he said it was probably my modem and should replace it the Motorola MB8611 even those had been working perfectly since i bought it 7 months ago. Since I had a feeling this would occur i had went and bought a Arris SB33 before he arrived so we unboxed it, installed, and activated it. Modem online and working he leaves at 5pm. 1hr 36min later the new modem goes offline does a reboot cycle and takes about 3min then comes back online. Works for 55min then back offline this time not doing a full reboot but no traffic for around 2min then back on and working. Attached the new modem logs hopefully someone can help tried messaging Xfinity DM but not getting responses.

Your post with that pic of the error log entries was marked as being "Private" by the forum software because it contains CM MAC and the CMTS MAC addresses. They are considered to be personal information. The posting of personally identifiable information is a violation of their forum guidelines. Please delete that pic only.


What you can do instead is to copy and paste all of the text (instead of using an image) but you'll need to redact all of the CM MAC and CMTS MAC addresses. The forum bot will not allow your post to be seen publically.

@EG​ Done what you have asked and redacted the info but some it still listed as private so used more logs the way you suggested from today with an outage being recorded.
