1Gig Internet service upload way lower than advertised

Hi, I have recently started Xfinity 1Gig internet service to my apartment at 19003 in PA. I am using my own model Motorola MB8600. I paid for the advertised 1000 download and 100 upload speed tier. Hooking my PC directly to the cable modem I only gets about  930 download and 23 upload. I know without link aggregation the download wont reach 1000. However my upload of 23 is way lower than the advertised 100. I work from home a lot with large datasets, having only 25% of advertised upload speed severely impacts my life. Can anyone help me solve this?

The MB8600 is not approved for Gigabit service or for the new faster upload speeds. You need one of Comcast's newer rental gateways (XB6, XB7, XB8) or one of the few retail devices shown in the "Next Gen Speed Tier" group with an upload speed rating in the "All Compatible Devices" PDF linked below.  Also see the following Reddit link, which lists the approved devices as well as other requirements for faster upload speeds. See:

Note that the "speedtest" link on the Reddit page is invalid. It points to "www.speedtest.xfinity.com", which does not exist. The correct address is https://speedtest.xfinity.com/.

Realize that although Comcast calls some devices "Approved" and some "Recommended", for all but a few devices those designations only mean "approved/recommended for use with their Internet service", and not necessarily approved for Gigabit or for the new upload speeds.

Comcast could make all of this much clearer, but they have chosen not to do so.
