Xfinity stream

I have used the Xfinity Stream all for a long time, originally on my Amazon Fire tablet, then on my Fire TV and Fire Sticks. But it is most useful on my tablet when I travel. I just checked and it is no longer available on the app store from my tablet.

On my desktop browser, it looks like there is the old app and a new version with Fire TV in the title. The old version doesn't seem to be available anymore and the new version seems to only work with a Fire TV or Stick, not the Fire tablet. Is that right? If so, is that just temporary?

I appologize for the delay in response. I am showing the Stream app is available on the Amazon Appstore. Is there where you are not seeing the app? I also suggest checking the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-tv-app-requirements to confirm your device meets minimum system requirements.

@XfinityDena I had to dig more but think I found the answer. My tablet is the Fire 10 (7th Generation). The last OS version I could update was 5.7. They are up to OS 8+ now. So I think my device cannot be updated. The new Stream app requires OS 6 or later. So the app is not showing in the app store from my device. Must be a recent chance since I was able to use it just a month or so ago.

I guess I'll have to do without.

Gosh I am so sorry about that. I recently had an issue with an older device as well for the same reason so I had to upgrade. Advances in technology are great until this sort of thing happens. Is there anything additional I may assist you with at this time?
