Xfinity stream

I have the Xfinity Stream app on my Firestick which is directly connected to my gateway with Ethernet cable. Amazon Firestick only has the beta Xfinity App. The app freezes every hour. Why is the Xfinity app still a beta version?

I am sorry to hear about the freezing issues you have been experiencing when trying to watch on your amazon firestick, I can imagine how inconvenient and frustrating that has been. We definitely want to help! To confirm, what is the model of your amazon firestick?

@XfinityAmira thank you for your response. My Firestick is the 4K. I’ve restarted it, cleared cache and also uninstalled and reinstalled the Xfinity beta app and it still freezes

I can definitely understand the frustration if your Stream app keeps freezing. There's nothing worse when you are trying to enjoy your shows. Have you already checked for updates to the firestick itself?

Yes, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. The app is a beta version, why is that?

I understand that you have uninstalled and reinstalled the Stream app. Did you also check that the firestick itself is up to date? I occasionally need to update my Roku device, as well as the apps that are on it.

For the Stream app still being a beta version, beta testing is one of the final steps before a product goes live. We are still working on improving the app for our customer's experience so it is still in beta testing.

It's been in beta for four years.  Please.
