Xfinity Stream restarts after ad break

I use google tv and when casting, the episode will restart after ad breaks. This is very disruptive to the experience, can this be fixed?

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_adxtn1! I can see how this would be really inconvenient after commercial breaks. Is this happening with a DVR recording or On Demand content?

Do you have any other devices in the household that can access Xfinity Stream? I’m curious to know if this happens on all devices or just the Google TV.

I have seen this for all my on demand content with ad breaks. When I stream directly on my laptop I do not have this issue, only when I select google cast or google tv

Have we confirmed that the latest versions of ChromeCast on your smart TV and mobile devices? When the restarts happen, is there a message that displays before restart, or does it just go right back to the beginning? Will this loop at the same ad break point?
