Xfinity Stream not working on my LG TV

The Xfinity Stream app continues to be very frustrating on my LG TV. Every other streaming app works fine.  It started by not playing recording, anytime I tried to fast forward, I’d get kicked out and have to restart. I fixed this by turning off the “smart resume” feature. Now everyone I try to launch the Xfinity Stream app, it takes me to the purple screen with 3-dots and will not load. So I have to uninstall the app and then re-install and go through the sign-in feature and then it loads and plays. If I switch out of the app or turn off the TV and then try to re-launch the Xfinity stream app, it will not open and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app.
