Xfinity Stream app on my Apple TV
Issue Summary
I’m experiencing a persistent issue with the Xfinity Stream app on my Apple TV. While physically connected to my home network, the app frequently reports that I’m “Out of Home Network”, preventing access to channels and content that require an in-home connection.
Equipment
- Apple TV (tvOS current)
- Customer-owned cable modem (not Xfinity gateway)
- Eero mesh Wi-Fi network
- Xfinity Internet and Xfinity TV service
Issue Details
- Apple TV is connected to my home Eero Wi-Fi network.
- Internet service is working normally.
- The Xfinity Stream app intermittently or consistently reports that I’m outside my home network even though I’m at home.
- Restarting the Apple TV and network equipment has not permanently resolved the issue.
Troubleshooting Requested
Please verify:
- That my home IP address is correctly registered as my “In-Home” network.
- That there are no account provisioning issues affecting Xfinity Stream.
- Whether customer-owned modems with an Eero mesh network require any additional configuration.
- Whether my account needs an in-home network refresh or reauthorization.
- Whether there are any known issues affecting Apple TV devices with Xfinity Stream.
