Xfinity stream app on iPad playback controls always on screen

When I try to watch a DVR recording on my iPad using the Xfinity stream app, the playback controls (fast forward, pause, etc) remain in the middle of the screen and the actual video plays behind and is darkened/washed out as the controls remain in the foreground.   This happens on both iPhone and iPad.   If I minimize the video, however, the controls go away.   This issue often happens with the live tv channels as well - but not always.    My iPhone and iPad are up to date and new.   I am watching from my house which has one of the faster internet packages you offer.   Can’t find any setting to fix it.

@user_2x8iw6 I am sorry to hear this is happening to you with your Stream App. Have you tried to tap on the content to make the controls go away?

@chambo11 Thanks for reaching out! Have you tried deleting the Xfinity Stream app on your device, and reinstalling it with the latest version?

Reinstalling the app does not work. It goes away when you minimize screen but reappears as soon as you maximize screen. The screen also remains darkened so you have all this clutter on screen, a stop button smack in the middle and a darkened screen, not a good experience at all on an iPad. FYI, this happens on LiveTV. When streaming movies or shows it’s the same except pause button with 10 sec FF and REV controls appear in middle of screen.

Hello, @user_toh4vp thank you for taking time to reply to this post. I checked our engineer board, and don't see any reported issues so appreciate you providing an update you're still experiencing issues when viewing from an iPad. Knowing you have uninstalled and reinstalled is helpful. I did have a few follow up questions:

- Have you attempted to stream from a different device, or different browser (chrome, firefox, etc)?

- Is the iPad on the most recent version?

- Have you cleared cache/history on the device?
