What is the hold up? The app works on all handheld Fire Devices and all Android. All Fire TV and Fire Stick devices run on Android. Why is this such an issue?

Really disappointed to learn that Xfinity Stream is not supported on FireTV Stick/Cube etc. We don't use Roku, and we're not switching any time soon. I was just about to pull the trigger on purchasing a TV package, but no such luck.
