xfinity app and the new google tv streamer

Currently using Xfinity app with Firestick TV due to no Xfinity streaming app available for "Google Chromecast with GoogleTV" device.

I see there is now a new Google device called "Google TV streamer".  Is the Xfinity stream app compatible with this new streaming device?

It is not yet available on the new Google TV Streamer much to my disappointment.

Web: Windows and MacOS at xfinity.com/stream
Mobile: iOS and Android devices
TVs:
Xfinity Flex streaming TV Boxes
Amazon Fire TV
Cast to any TV capable of Google Chromecast or Apple Airplay
Apple TV*
LG TV*
Roku*
Samsung Smart TV*
Xumo TV*

As soon as it becomes approved, we'll add it to the list. I can't get you a timeline as to when as we will need to test the app on the new OS and debug it before we are ready to release it into the wild.

Typical xfinity non answer. Can't seem to get things to work. Can't get it on my new Hisense Google tv either but can on my phone and both are androids.

So many flaws, pay for a streaming service you can’t use. 
had a Roku Tv Stream app crashed an never worked again, went through all your trouble shooting an still didn’t fix it. 
upgraded to a Google tv an now the app isn’t available? Cmon… failing your customers truly.

You think because there is an Android app that Google TV is not an issue and then ... SURPRISE!!!!!

There is a reason people adopt certain technologies in their homes. Not going to change out technology because your app is unavailable on Google TV. Guess I made the wrong decision on provider. Will keep the internet service, but ditching your cable solution. Thanks for nothing.
