Why is the Xfinity Favorites unstable?

My Xfinity Favorites log in no longer "keeps me logged in to this devise" even though that option is checked.  It then goes offline for no reason I can figure out.  I'll be working on a different window or app and when I go back to the Favorites page I have to log in again.
