Why can I not watch my pre-recorded programs while traveling.

My husband I are traveling on vacation.  When I log in to my Xfinity account/streaming, it will not allow me to watch any programs that I previously recorded from my list.  I have this problem every time I travel, both in and out of the US.  Why do you block me from watching something that I am paying a lot of money for?

Hello, @user_lwsdbu

Sorry for the inconvenience. I know Xfinity Stream can be a great travel companion to keep you entertained. Here are some facts about the app to remember while traveling. When connected to your in-home Xfinity network, content is delivered as a cable service over Xfinity's managed IP network and includes your full live TV channel lineup and all of your Xfinity On Demand choices. Although more than 250 live TV Go channels and tens of thousands of Xfinity On Demand movies and shows are available outside the home, certain content isn't available.

Use the Available Out of Home filter in the Xfinity Stream app or portal to easily identify streaming options available when you're not connected to your in-home Xfinity network.

Xfinity TV or NOW TV and streaming content cannot be streamed or downloaded outside of the United States. However, programs downloaded to your mobile device through the Xfinity Stream app can be viewed offline anywhere, even while you're in other countries. Learn more about downloading cloud-based DVR recordings and Xfinity On Demand content to your device.

I still feel that I should be allowed to watch what I have recorded.  When traveling, it does not allow me to watch shows that I normally watch.  Due to time zone differences, that makes it impossible if I cannot watch it live.  Very unhappy with xfinity services.

user_lwsdbu I completely understand where you're coming from we are always looking for ways to improve as a company, and this is great feedback I can pass along to make viewing your DVR/Stream content a better experience.

For future travels, if you haven't used it before. The downloading saved content to a device has helped me recently, went on a trip to Florida and downloaded some episodes of What we do in the Shadows to our iPad to watch on the plane. Hopefully that is an option that benefits you as well.

@XfinityThomasC I tried the Available Out Of Home channels.  Again, none would stream for me and in half the cases I got a similar message to what I originally received.  Xfinity seems to be useless to us when traveling.  Since we recently retired and plan to travel more often, it seems like Xfinity is becoming obsolete for us.  The next time I will either suspend my service while away or switch to YouTube TV which my son has and he does not have these issues when he is traveling.
