Hello @scaesare! Thanks for sharing the trouble you are having with access the Xfinity stream app on your LG smart TV. I'm sorry for the trouble you are seeing with the error code TVAPP-00195. I know how upsetting it can be when you are trying to simply enjoy a show. I would like to help out and make sure that we have the app working for us, so you can enjoy our programming. With the Xfinity stream app you are able to stream in and out of your home, however you may need a specific subscription in order to access some content of specific devices. 

Do you subscribe to our Xfinity TV service? 

If you have the NOW TV or NOW TV Latino services unfortunately the Stream app on smart TV devices is not supported at this time. 

I do have NOW Streamsaver. Can you please advise when it will be supported? It seems rather odd that the app simply doesn't stream whatever content your package provides...

I have other streaming services, and I can add and deletes channel packages at any time and the app simply plays what my subscription provides. Incidentally that's not disclosed anywhere on the Xfinity documentation as far as I can tell...

Nonetheless LG is a major tier 1 TV supplier, so not supporting that platform with your app that is now 4 years old without update is a bit embarrassing for a major provider like Xfinity... I just subscribed because I could get a good bundle price, but if I can't use it on my TV's it won't likely be worth the few $$ saved...

scaesare Ok, so that's helps us figure out why the error is occurring since the service is not supported for NOW TV. I'm sorry that was not shared with you when you signed up for the service. Sadly at this time we do not have any details on when the NOW service will be added for eligibility with the Xfinity Stream app on partner devices like Smart TV's. Those devices are only supported for customers in home with a Xfinity TV and Xfinity internet subscription. You can still access the content Through a browser or mobile device. It also seems that Amazon Fire TV's and casting options with chrome case or apple airplay are not limited.
