Streaming uses too much bandwidth...

First, let me say that Netflix gives the option of using a low bandwidth instead of HD.

Since I'm on my computer (Dell 43" at 3840x2160) 8-12  hours a day, I stream TV in a separate window. I find this uses about 15 gigs a day just for the streaming.

How can I select a low bandwidth option for my streaming from Comcast?

Streaming alone uses almost 500 gigabytes a month.

are you streaming numbered channels and recordings and on demand using the streaming website? if so the data traffic does not count toward your CAP at all. use of TVgo channels and TVgo on-demand choices do count if you are on your xfinity wifi. if off your own wifi Comcast does not count the usage (example: using wired/wireless at work/hotel/cell)
