streaming on mac

as of last week, i can no longer stream on my mac.  Ive tried 2 browers, Ive cleared history and cashe and still nothing.  I was streaming everyday, and no suddely it is not working.  i can still stream on my ipad, so what happened?

Could you let us know which browsers you’ve tried? Have you cleared your cache and cookies? Also, is your device running the latest OS version?

I've cleared cache and cookies and I'm running on the latest version of OS. I've tried Firefox, Chrome and Safari. I've turned off the Apple system preference "hand-off" and I still can't stream on my IMac. Extremely frustrating!

albrightt, thank you for all your efforts so far. I know this has been frustrating for you and everyone else in the thread. Does the app work for you on other devices, or do you see it on all devices? Each situation can very, so I wanted to ask to be sure.

Using Google - its just gives me the purple screen with the words xfinity streaming and the 3 dots that just blink.  Safari is working today for some reason.

user_bpnw76, we are aware of reported issues from customers who are unable to stream live TV or recorded content on the Xfinity Stream website. As a result, we are working to get this fixed. We've seen customers have success using the Stream App on their phone or television in the meantime, as a solution is found.

for others experiencing this, I streamed on my ipad and then did airplay to my mac....but come on Xfinity - fix this!  It looks so bad for you!!

I have spent no less than )6) hours over the last (4) days "Troubleshooting with their "Chat Agents"! No proof of ticket! Escalation requests end up getting a disconnection from Chat. New "Chat Agent" comes on and the circus starts again. FROM THE TOP!

Might as well ask if the computer is plugged in!

I have the same issue and spent ages with the useless chat assistant and it refused to let me chat to a real person - awful customer service. 

My Xfinity Stream portal is not working at all. I sign in correctly and then just get the dots forever (hours). I refresh and it doesnt work. I tried restarting the Mac, I tried safari and also chrome.. same issue. Stream works fine on my iPhone AND on all my TVs in the same house using the app. 

Liable to switch supplier because i use the MAC a lot (well i used to)

it doesn't work with Safari the past 4 weeks. I have contacted Xfinity and they keep saying that Apple has to do an update- they are taking no responsibility. Was using Edge, now it doesn't work on Edge either. Took 5 attempts for it to work with chrome. Comcast will do nothing to try and fix this problem

Thank you fellow frustrated customer! OK I'll try chrome more and try a simple browser too but its Comcast issue when literally every other streaming site works fine

I got a message that xfinity is aware of the problem but has no resolution or time frame for the resolution.  I have been air dropping it from my Ipad to my Mac.  Thanks for nothing xfinity.
