Streaming live TV on Android tablet

I am unable to watch some channels on my Android tablet. I get a message that indicates I need to log into my home WiFi. My tablet does not have cellular and is always connected to my home WiFi when I'm in the house. I can watch most channels but not some local ones.  Why does it indicate I need to log into my home wifi when I clearly already am? Please note, I have verified that I'm logged into my WiFi and not some other network.
