Streaming app is low resolution on Samsung Galaxy A9+ tablet

The Xfinity Streaming app is low resolution on my tablet. It was fine at first but went to an unwatchable low resolution.  I tried factory reset on tablet and re-download the infinity stream app and it's still low resolution. The tablet plays all other streaming apps perfectly. It's just xfinity stream app that is unwatchable. I have tried all the online tips and nothing is working.

Hi user_2id1gx! Thanks for joining our Xfinity Forum, and we appreciate you being a customer with us. My team is here to help! For troubleshooting purposes, is the low resolution you're experiencing through the Xfinity Stream app occurring on other devices in your home, or just the tablet?

I don't recall if it started after an update or not. However, I did remove the app and then did a factory reset on the tablet. I reinstalled the app though the play store so it is the most recent version, but i am still having the low resolution issue.

Got it, user_2id1gx! Since it is only occurring on one device, and you have performed all possible troubleshooting on your end, I'm not sure what the issue could be. We're also limited in the remote troubleshooting that can be done on only the one device.

Just to be sure you've tried this, did you ensure the Playback Setting is toggled to "Best Available" in the Xfinity Stream App? To do so, open the app, go to Settings, and check playback preferences. Ensure it is set to "Play Best Available" or "High Quality".

You have not mentioned any other internet connection issues, but another troubleshooting step would be uninstalling the app and then manually rebooting the modem on your end. To manually reboot, please unplug the power cable from the back of the modem, wait 10-15 secs, plug the power cable back in, and allow 10 mins or less for the modem to reboot. You will lose connection on your end for 10 mins or less, so be sure to do so at a convenient time.

After doing so, reinstall the app to see if that helps correct this issue on your end.
