Stream is no longer compatible with fire OS 7.7.1.6

if you receive a message on local TV go channels that says “ to play video, will need to know where you are. Please turn on location services and adjust to high accuracy or battery saving” you don’t need to do anything except replace your fire stick with a newer version.  During a late September update Xfinity stream no longer completes a handshake with third generation fire sticks. Their website is wrong OS 7 NOT COMPATIBLE. As soon as you plug in a newer fire stick, you will be able to stream.
