Stream 'Free This Week' on Roku app?

I got an e'mail about free programming each week.

I downloaded the Stream app on Roku but after signing in the only option is to pay for a subscription.

How do I watch something?

Thanks

Yeah, https://www.xfinity.com/hub/free-tv-movies/free-tv-week says:

With “Free this Week,” X1, Flex, and Xfinity Internet customers can unlock entertainment every single week — no strings attached.

That sounds like it includes Internet-only customers, but apparently there are strings attached.

Hi @Pungh0Li0! Thank you for thinking of the Xfinity Forums for help with this free content. I'm a big fan of watching free movies, so I understand wanting to make sure you have access! However, at this time we do have limited availability for Xfinity Stream content through partnered devices like Roku, and instead, you would need an X1 box or Xfinity Flex device to watch the 'Free this Week' options. The reason for this is that it's accessible by saying 'Free this Week' into the Xfinity Voice remote!

That being said, please know that if you have an internet only plan with us the first Xfinity Flex box is completely free to add to your services! You can find out more here

@XfinityCassandra I ended up connecting my laptop to the TV... and no, I didn't have to say 'Free this Week'.

Awesome! Thank you for letting me know you were able to get connected. After doing a bit more research I did also find that the Xfinity Stream portal will work, so a laptop is a great workaround. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let me know.

I have only a very basic TV subscription but this worked for me on my stand alone Roku box. I just selected Browse / Movies, then Options / Filter Preferences / Free To Me, and then selected a movie and hit Play.

Yes, Stream v6.10.0 on a Roku Express+ model 3910RW. The first two screens look like:

@BruceW

Nope, I don't have any of that. Some basic stuff and it starts up trying to get me to spend ~$37 to subscribe.

I have internet only (which is part of the promo and I can get the freebee through the web version) but, as I thought, it has nothing to do with using voice control 'Free This Week'.
