Smart Resume needs help
Smart Resume needs help. The offset timing of where Smart Resume starts is wrong. It’s not like this is a new problem, as people from various locations have been complaining about it for the past couple years. And yes, I have power cycled my XC-1A. Back when Smart Resume worked properly on the XC-1A, I was also able to do a manual 4x advance and stop it at about the right location. When Smart Resume started stopping 40 seconds early, my manual 4x advances also stopped about 40 seconds early.
One user said it varied from his DVR to his iPad. I Checked the same program (NCIS Hawaii S2E7) on my DVR, iPad, iPhone, Mac w/Safari, and PC w/Firefox. The offsets are all different and they are all wrong. The table showing the various offsets is below.
Since the offset timings vary with device type, and Comcast has not provided a means for the user to set the offsets, Comcast either needs to correct its settings or provide the user with the ability to set offsets. Please fix it.

Hi there! I am sorry to hear that you are having troubles with our Smart Resume. There is currently an ongoing issue with Smart Resume functionality, where fast-forward is stopping around 30-40 seconds before the program resumes. This is a known issue with no timeline for resolution.
