Roku TVAPP-00500 Error

I have a multiple tv's with the Xfinity Stream App. I am subscribed to Now TV. Every time I try to access Live TV, I get the TVAPP-00500 Error and the message stating "It looks like your plan does not include any channels....."

Previously I had an account with X1 TV service and the Stream App worked just fine on that TV, so it's not the TV or the App itself. As soon as I changed my plan to a different account(Without X1/Just Now TV) and new Xfinity Modem, I started having this issue. I can't get any agents online to help me determine the issue or talk to about adding a Xumo box.

Can someone from Xfinity chime in on this?

I am having the exact issue.  Honestly I think that xfinity needs to be a bit more thorough with the products and services.  I don't believe they pay their C.S.Rs enough to put out all these fires they start for themselves

Good afternoon, user_0ias1t and thread! I am sorry to say, NOW TV is not compatible with Roku at this time. You can see this in the FAQ section of the NOW TV website. <Edited Link> The website breaks down each device you can use. Here is a brief overview.

Now TV can be viewed on:

  • Xumo Stream Box (leased or purchased)
  • Xumo TV
  • Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box
  • Apple or Android mobile devices
  • FireTV
  • Chromecast
  • Apple AirPlay

Both my Roku and Xumo boxes report the same error code. Changing to Xumo will probably not help

Greetings, K6JHU! Thanks for reaching out about the error you see when trying to watch the Live Channels that come with NOW TV. Roku is not currently compatible with the NOW service but Xfinity Xumo Stream Box is. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? Has this been happening since you got the service or when did it begin?

@K6JHU I had a xumo box do the same and ended up having Xfinity send me another one. The new one has worked so far.
