@user_v5s2jv When you are on the channel guide screen, navigate to the left side column on the STAR and click. It will light up and add channel to your favorites list. Doing the same to unlighted would remove it.
I am having this exact same problem. When clicking the STAR it only brings up find a channel and filter preferences. Roku and Xfinity are up to date. Has anyone else figured out a solution?

Solved the problem!
You cannot add favorite stations from your roku TYV!
It must be done by logging into the xfinity live stream on your computer.
From your computer live tv has styars next to each station star the stations you want and then it will appear as favorites on your Roku TV1
