Roku Streaming issues fast-forwarding and stopping recorded shows

After the recent Xfinity app updates both of my Roku Pro Remotes and Roku streaming boxes, the remotes will not work properly while trying to use features like fast forward, rewind and stop during a recorded DVR show from the Xfinity app..  Almost like they lose connections with the app.  Tried resetting the remotes and Xfinity app.  I'm seeing this issue come up on many Xfinity users sites with no resolution to date. Remotes work perfect in any other app on the box.  Help!!

same issues. I have3 different Rokus installed around my house and I experience the same loss of control when playing back recorded Xfinity programs. After playing back for maybe 30 or 40 minutes, the Roku can no longer stop, backup, or fast forward the recorded pgm. All I can do is hit the home key and come out of the playback. When hitting Resume going back in, I'm back to the beginning of the program.

As suggested by another person on this thread…I tried hitting the okay button on the remote centered between the arrows…and I regained control of the rewind, fast forward, and pause!

Hello silvermisths! Thank you for sharing your app version with us. I'm sorry to read that you and so many others have been dealing with the trouble with using the app and playing back programs. Are you also using a roku pro remote with a Roku streaming box? I love using the Xfinity Stream app myself at home since it is so convenient, and we have a roku TV. So far I have not had an issue with the remote communicating with the TV while using the Xfinity stream app, so I'm curious is that is part of the issue. I would love to dig into this for us with our teams to help get things working again as they should be.

A slight work around is when you want to use the playback functions on the remote and they are frozen while using the Xfinity app is to hit the large purple button in the center and that takes you to a settings screen then you can back out of that and it frees up the playback functions for a little while.

Same issues here for several weeks.  I went out and bought a new Roku Stick and remote.  Same problem exists.

Same here.  I have Roku Ultra, watching a saved program on Xfinity Stream DVR.  The first 30 minutes, I could FF.  Then all of sudden I can’t FF anymore!  Happened the other night too.  And I’ve reset restarted plugged unplugged closed one eye, and still can’t get it to FF through the whole show!  What the heck?
