Premium Channels

Well, as if xfinity isn't already on my last nerve, I just typed all of this, hit post and... nothing.

Try one last time before I set up an appointment with Verizon to get FIOS. 

Something has changed regarding watching the premium channels on my computer.  Same computer, same big monitor, same browser, same channels... HBO, Showtime, Flix...err MGM, etc.  For years I watched those channels on here and marveled at the glorious look on this big curved monitor.  Combined with 7.1 headphones and it was very satisfying. 

Now, using the same stuff, when I switch to any of the premium channels, suddenly my huge, glorious monitor screen is filled with more black than picture.  Black lines run sideways across the top and bottom AND black lines run up and down on both sides.  Big screen, all wasted with a little picture in the center.  I tried three different browsers, so it's not that.  Again, same everything on my end.  Even older movies I had watched before on this same monitor gloriously filling up the whole screen now.... not so much.

Something changed.  And it wasn't on my end.  Something changed.  And I don't expect I'll get an answer this time either, but once I get Verizon out here to set me up and I call to cancel Comcast after 15 years, I can tell them "Hey, I tried seeking an answer and got none" and can point them to this thread.  Honestly Comcast, with your customer service, I really don't understand how you have any customers.  Just shows how desperate people are for TV I guess. 

You have all of my data, including address AND phone number.  So if you care, contact me and explain what changed and why or how I can "fix" it.  But I'm not holding my breath.  Gonna call Verizon on Tuesday after the holiday.

Oh yeah, should mention I watched the Daytona 500 live today.  Filled the whole beautiful screen.  Just like most other channels do.  It's just the premiums, and when I stream on demand.  Again, nothing changed here.  Something has changed on the sending end, not the receiving end.

@OldeFatGuy I can certainly understand how this would be upsetting. I want to help in any way I can. Are you using the Stream app to stream on your computer?
