no sound msnbc streaming app

There is no sound on the MSNBC streaming app only.  All other apps I have tried have sound.  It must be an Xfinity problem.  Please address the problem.

Having the same issue with MSNBC and CNBC while using the xfinity streaming app on my Mac Pro and on a TCL Fire TV.  Amazon could not figure it out after deleting and re-installing the app, and rebooting the TV.  Said to send an email to [Edited: "Personal Information"] and wait for a reply. Just did...and waiting for a reply!

Hello @user_nglbu4, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the MSNBC channel. Are you still having issues, or has this been resolved for you? Have you tried restarting the app, restarting the device you are using?

Same for me... no sound for the past week on MSNBC and CNBC... except for commercials that come in loud and clear.  This seems like a TRUMP sponsored thing to silence critical voices???

I agree. The fact that it seems to be somewhat nationwide and Xfinity can't/won't fix it for weeks, is very suspicious. And their support people answer by saying 'you don't have audio on MSNBC? Really?' And in the times we live in, we should all ask questions.

Looking at the history, this has been a problem with MSNBC for years, and your response is always "Have you tried troubleshooting your personal system?" That is such a disingenuous response. If it's a problem of an entire region or a national issue, it's obviously not a problem of one's personal connection, and the fact that only a certain family of channels is affected means you, Xfinity, know exactly where the problem is. In just some basic research, you have been having this issue since 2024, and yet it persists. The problem is clearly on YOUR end; stop addressing it as if the problem lies with your users. It's just insulting.

Good evening, @user_kb8dgx and thread! Thank you for reporting the audio issue on MSNBC in the Xfinity Stream app or on our website. I am seeing a known issue our engineers are working on that is affecting the MSNBC TVGO channel's audio. That is being worked on, but I do not have an estimate of when this will be resolved. We will keep an eye on this and update the thread. As a temporary workaround, If you are in home, you can try the other MSNBC channels available as the audio should be working on those options.

Thanks for checking on that, @user_kb8dgx! Is it the same channel number as the TVGO channel or are you on an alternate MSNBC channel number while you are trying to watch at home?
