MSNOW and CNBC drop audio on xfinity stream
When using xfinity stream and apple tv box to access MSNOW and CNBC the stations drop audio for several seconds at a time, all the time. I downloaded CNBC app and MSNOW app to the apple tv box and when I access the stations thru the apps they work fine so the apple box is not the problem.. I pay for those channels in my xfinity tv subscription and should not need a separate app to access them. I see from message boards that this is a universal problem for these two stations at least. Will i see a refund for this "glitch"?

I have audio drop after commercial breaks and at the start of the show, but not on any legacy channels which I just discovered by trial and error. Update suppose to come out today to fix some of these issues. Keep an eye out for it.

Hi user_03de5a! Thanks for visiting our Xfinity Forum. We appreciate you being a customer with us, and I am sorry to hear about the audio drops you're experiencing with these networks when watching on your Apple TV box. My team is here to support you! I know you mentioned downloading the app. To confirm, did you download the Xfinity Stream app on another device?

It appears that there is "handoff" problem from MSNOW and CNBC and the xfinity stream app. This problem does not exist on legacy channels thru xfinity stream

The problem seems to be a "handoff" problem betweenCNBC, MSNOW, and the xfinity app. It does not happen on legacy channels watched thru xfinity stream or on ESPN watched thru xfinity stream.

In other word the problem does not appear to be an outside connection issue. He also observed the set up inside the house and said it was fine. But the problem still exists!!

A tech is not going to fix anything. I had them come out for years. Pixilation issues that could not be fixed. New drop lines, linemen checking the main lines, on the phone for hundreds of hours. What a waist of time. Now the streaming app is full of audio and video problems for years. I have no faith that it will be fixed. And even if it is, it will break again and again.

Yesterday i went to an xfinity brick and mortar and after explaining the problem the customer service person he recommended i use their new xfinity streaming box.. I was told this a new product. I don't need the xfinity streaming app as the box picks up direct from xfinity as opposed to the apple box where I downloaded the xfinity stream app.. The box does resolve the issue of the dropped audio. It does not present as bright and lively a picture as the Apple Tv Box does but it is OK and the problem seems to be solved. Why no one told me about this solution I don't understand...... I've spoken with 4 different techs on the phone numerous chatbots and a $100.00 and hour on site technician. No one knew?????
