Issues with paramount plus

I’m having issues with Paramount Plus. This issue has been ongoing for weeks now. I’ve read the comments from previous posts and what’s the point? Why have Paramount Played a, if the issue is still ongoing? I’ve restarted my box numerous times. Deleted some programs, still the issue persists. I don’t see the point of having this app on the Xfinity network if it doesn’t work half the time.

Hello, @user_f7plx9 how are you? We want you to get the most out of your service, so you can enjoy Paramount Plus. I have seen this issue be resolved more than one way. One is by exchanging your cable box. Are you able to share the make and model of your primary box? We can ship you an exchange, or you can pick one up at an Xfinity store. You can easily make an appointment using the link below if you wanted to give this a try.

 

Additional details can help as well. Such as how many boxes you have or if this is only happening using the Xfinity Stream app or website to view the content.

I began subscribing to Paramount+ in April 2022. Never had any problems with it until several months ago. The problem is intermittent, seeming to occur mostly at night and hardly ever during the daytime. When I try to view a program on Paramount+ through the X1 menu, it launches Paramount+, but then is when the problems start. Sometimes it works; sometimes the screen goes completely black and stays that way; sometimes I get the endless rotating circle and the program never starts; and sometimes the program starts but then it runs for less than one minute before crashing.

I'm sorry to hear you're still having issues with the Paramount Plus app, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

 

I was having the same issue with my own X1 box a few months ago. I had to go in and clear all my locally stored data before it would launch Paramount Plus without any issues.
