Is the xfinity stream app completely nonfunctional?

I have xfinity gateway 1 gig internet and tv premium with the xi6t box on 1st tv. I am getting buffering constantly on 2nd smart tv lg 43uk6090pua. It is unwatchable. It is buffering even when its the only device running. Is the xfinity stream app completely nonfunctional?

@user_ylvobw Good morning! Thank you for reaching out to our Xfinity Forums Team for assistance with your Xfinity Stream App. It can definitely be frustrating to not be able to enjoy your services. I'm happy to help your TV working properly. Before we get started, can you please share any troubleshooting steps you have already tried? This help to know where to pick up at.

Hello, I have deleted the app and re-added it. I have removed other devices so that only 1 device is running. I have made sure that the tv is authorized by xfinity and the model is compatible. I am using the new xfinity gateway and I don't have a 2nd box. Is it possible that you can't use the streaming at all without a 2nd box? I am going to test my iphone and my ipad and see if I have the same result. It is the only app that is buffering every 10 seconds.

Ok the iphone works fine with the streaming but it asked me to sign in with my user name and password and the tv just asked me to authorize the tv with xfinity.com/authorize and a 6 digit code. which i did. how to fix the sign in on tv to use username & password and not the 6 digit code?

user_ylvobw Thank you for the update! Usually the QR code is the easiest way to begin sign in. Once you install the App, you should see a sign in option to put in your username and password on the right hand side. Do you see that option?
