I cant log into paramount plus on Xfinity

I cant log into paramount + on my Tv. It asks me to put in the log in information and all I get is the spinning circle. I try to connect using the QR code and then attach my service provider and Xfinity isnt one of the choices.

@user_0xpj2a Welcome to our community forum! Thank you for reaching out so we can answer your questions about accessing the Paramount+ app from your TV. While we’d love to make all content available to you through network streaming apps and websites, it requires an agreement with each network. If we don’t have an agreement set up, we’re unable to provide you access to their app or website and Xfinity will not appear as a service provider.

 

You can view a list of the network apps and websites that we support here. Have you set up a personal account directly through Paramount+ so you can access your favorite content from your TV?

I have the app on the tv. It requires me to log on via the QR code or my laptop/phone. I cant on my phone because Xfinity isnt one of the providers listed. So I go on my laptop and enter the code shown and the black screen shows up with the spinning circle forever. It never loads. I can access it directly on my laptop or phone but not the Tv with the Paramount+ app.

@user_0xpj2a Thank you for keeping me posted so we can continue working together. Are you able to use the username and password that you used to access the content on your laptop to sign into the app on your TV? Please keep in mind, you will not have the option to sign in with your provider, you'll need to enter the username and password that you set up through your separate Paramount+ subscription.

So I have Paramount + as part of my service from Xfinity - it is part of my bill. However, I can't login to Paramount Plus because Xfinity is not listed as a provider. 

How do I activate the Paramount + service?  If I create an account with Paramount +, then they will bill my credit card and I will be paying for the service twice (one with Paramount + and once with Xfinity). This is a real problem - what is the fix?

If we are paying for the service through xfinitiy - the login should be working through the xfinity service as the provider.  We are already being charged for this service and if you set up a new one with Paramount+ they will also charge you for their service

Completely agree. I don’t want to hand paramount my credit card and personal information and hope I don’t get double billed. I spoke with Xfinity and they suggested I do that and call for a credit and works fix itself after one month. I am not confident in that. Not sure why Xfinity is but listed as one of the providers. Many others are there
