there are multiple threads on this forum, dating back years, describing the same issue. why hasn't this been addressed?
The cable box has a Disney+ icon. When you click it and navigate to the show you want to watch, the show will play up to the commercial break and sometimes freeze on a black screen or sometimes play one or two ads and then freeze at the end of an ad, with several seconds remaining on the little clock. You have to back out and go to the home screen and click on the show again and resume playing. Sometimes it will land right back on the ad and you have to repeat this all over again. Sometimes it will land on the show but several minutes ahead of where you left off. If you rewind you have to be very precise because if you go past the ad, this whole ordeal begins again. I have gone to the settings and changed data usage from automatic to moderate as one of the MANY threads has suggested but this did not change anything.

I have this problem also. I am playing on the cable box using the Hulu app and the Disney+ app - both freeze when loading commercials.
