How do I use the workaround to play streaming Xfinity in the background?

I have rather simple question regarding the alleged work around. I'm reading that you "lock" the screen then hit play and it should play in the background.

My problem is I don't really understand what it means to lock my screen then hit the play button.

Could someone please explain how this is done. Pretend I'm a 10 year old in your explanation because I know it's a simple process but I'm totally illiterate when it comes to the terms being used in the workaround.

Thanks so much!

Hi @tc7581! Thank you for posting to the Xfinity Community Forum to get assistance. I'd be happy to help. Can you let us know what type of device you are attempting to stream from?

You're welcome. Just to clarify, you mentioned that you are trying to stream in the background. Are you trying to stream from the phone while using other apps, or are you attempting to stream to a TV or another device?

On the side of your phone, there should be a lock button that you can press to lock the screen. It's located either above the volume buttons, or it would be on the opposite side of the phone as the volume buttons.

I no longer work for Comcast.
