High-Tier Account Glitch / Apple TV App Crash Loop (out-of-home.title)
I downloaded the Xfinity Stream app for the first time yesterday Tuesday (7/14/26). I attempted to sign into the official Xfinity Stream app on my fully compatible Apple TV 4K 3rd Gen (Model A2843), but have been unsuccessful. After completing the ://xfinity.com sequence on my local home network, the Apple TV app displays a raw script crash error (out-of-home.title / out-of-home.message) and immediately loops back to the sign-in screen. The screen shows "Sign In", but doesn't allow signing in.
In effort to correct the problem, I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the application multiple times, safely restarted the Apple TV hardware to clear local cache files, verified location and privacy settings are set properly, and power-cycled my network modem. All of these efforts were unsuccessful.
I then contacted Front-line customer technical support yesterday Tuesday (7/14) where the technician correctly stated that the Apple TV Model A2843 device is incompatible. Xfinity's live support documentation states that the Xfinity Stream app requires an Apple TV 4K running tvOS 18 or later. Model A2843 is an Apple TV 4K device that runs the required software and is technically compatible. I informed the technician of this information, but was told that I would need to get a Xumo device from an Xfinity service center. After nearly 1.5 hours on the phone, the technician was unable to help.
I believe this problem (raw script crash error, out-of-home.title / out-of-home.message) is a back-end authentication mismatch where the streaming server is falsely identifying my Apple TV box as being outside of my home network signature. I think I need a Tier 3 technician to perform a full UDB (User Database) Refresh on my profile, clear out any historical hardware tokens, and force sync my current active modem's MAC address with my streaming video billing entitlements. Can I please get some help resolving this matter?

@user_lp8v2o Thanks for letting us know about this issue you are having with the Xfinity Steam app and your Apple TV. Right now, this looks to be an issue we are currently working on getting resolved, and we hope to have it fixed here shortly.

I’ve been running into the exact same issue, but with an A2169, which is supposedly still a supported device. Both app and Apple TV are up to date, tried multiple reinstalls but to no avail.
