Fluctuating volume

I have seen on your forums people complaining about fluctuating volume. I have this issue as well. However I stream the cable with no box. This also happens on all my televisions. This is rather frustrating... please assist.

Hey there, is the volume cursor moving or is this just the sound being louder on some commercials and shows?

@XfinityAnthonyT  it happens in the middle of a show, goes super loud or little volume.... you change the channel it comes back to normal without changing the volume.... if you do turn up the volume stand by when changing the channel.... gets rather loud.

Okay, so just to make sure we are on the same page, you have your volume set to for example say 10 and during the show, it doesn't move up to 15 or anything but the sound gets louder? When you go to lower the volume it is still set at 10 when this happens, correct?

OMG I've been experiencing this too! Where the hell is that coming from??? Using Xfinity Stream app, no set top box (obviously), on a Philips Android 55". I thought maybe one of my HDMI cables was loose but I gently wiggled all cables the last time this happened and nothing changed. Volume jumped down to where I could barely hear anything. I do not have numbered volume. I can only tell you that my volume bar, most of the time, is set around a quarter way into that status bar. There have also been instances where the volume jumps up where I have to scramble for the remote. The only way to fix it is to change channels and come back to the channel I was on. Goes back to normal.

Thanks for all these details, @user_UncleMarko. This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have with us, but we're here to help. To confirm, when you are changing the volume to account for the quiet or loud times, is the volume on the TV still at the same quarter way up? Also, is this happening on multiple channels, or only one or a few that you've seen so far?

I no longer work for Comcast.

I can watch channel x the volume normally goes low, no change to anything. I can change the channel the volume comes back to where I was listening before. Go back to the channel I was originally watching and the volume is the same as three original volume. No change in my volume level or loudness by either me physically or by the TV or any other device.  The volume cuts out.

How ever if I raise the volume to my normal listening level, sound only not volume in a screen or mark and then change a channel, the loudness is quite horrific.

So my volume normally decreased significantly. If i change the channel the volume of my normal listening please comes back. If I don't change the channel but raise the volume,  either changing the channel or eventually the volume is restored on the TV, it is rather loud.

This happens on all my tvs and they all stream.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us regarding your streaming concerns. I know how frustrating fluctuating volume can be and I appreciate all of the details that you have supplied here. Is this only happening when you are using the Xfinity Stream App or other apps as well? What type of Tv's are you viewing on? Do you know if this happens when viewing in HD, 4k, or standard definition or is there no change at all when moving between the video type?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@user_f2cd18  @user_UncleMarko There is another post with this issue specifically via Roku. Ever since the 10/26 update, but they are not indicating they will roll back the app even though there are about 2 dozen people commenting on my post:
