Error xfinity stream “Stream only in-home”... but I’m on my home network!

Hello,

Having error message after entering code from smart tv. Reset modem, tv, app, account many times. And talked to several members of Xfinity support.

Similar issue to post from an older forum:

was this working previously? is the PC connected to a VPN? did you try streaming in your home on a smart phone/tablet using the xfinity stream TV app? did it ever work? if so, did you recently move or change out the modem/gateway?

Not working previously, first-time connection attempted.
No VPN interaction. New modem.
Connection to mobile app works with full functionality using in home WiFi.
I anticipated a problem with my username, as its linked to a new account (primary user) and an old family account (secondary user). However I’ve attempted changing username and deleting from secondary account. No luck.
Xfinity stream app (smart tv) still does not recognize my in home network.

does a smart phone/tablet work? create a new non-restricted user and use that to sign in working?

Mobile device loads the streaming lineup of my family.  New account is a good temp fix.

Talked with multiple support reps who say they've never seen a duplicated account issue like this.

 

Thanks for the help!  Will troubleshoot the transfer offline.

if the 'new' account fixed the issue so you can view call the billing office and ask that your 'old' account be connected only to your current address and account. that should fix the issue for the regular ID.
